Cité des Climats et vins de Bourgogne à Beaune_Photo DR Clément L’hôte

Awaited for years, this set of three sites dedicated to wine tourism has opened its doors to the public in Beaune, Chablis and Mâcon. Content, addresses, timetables, prices: everything you need to know about this new beacon of the vineyard.

Finally! After more than 10 years of reflection, and three years of work, the Cité des Climats and wines of Burgundy is accessible. The place is divided into three sites: Beaune (main site), Chablis and Mâcon (satellite sites). Places dedicated to the general public, and whose objective is clear: to explain Burgundy wine, from the vine to the tasting. Each place has its scenographic visit route. It is about the terroirs and their formation, the gestures of the winegrower, the vinification, the art of tasting, etc. State-of-the-art installations, combining videos, 3D modeling and light effects. Similarly, each site will have a “parallel course” dedicated to children.

But the vocation of the Cité des Climats is not only educational. These three buildings were designed as living spaces. There are bars to taste local wines, shops selling local products, as well as a vast program: tasting workshops, afterworks etc…
