Assessment of the harvest in Burgundy

That's it the harvest in Burgundy is coming to an end. As announced the harvest is generally low and the humidity of the last few days has not favored the quality of the grapes. Some good surprises however: the Chalonnaise coast has for example resisted well: the reds are promising (Mercurey or Givry). On the other hand, the Côte de Beaune has a mixed fortune, in red as in white. In Chablis, we knew it was going to be tricky, and it is true. As in recent years, many winegrowers in Burgundy are now counting on the next vintage to fill cellars that are emptying from year to year! vendange_bourgogne
