The 2016 vintage was off to a very good start, with a rather nice start to April in terms of climate… But patatras the end of the month is catastrophic! It is cold during the day and Frosts have appeared during the nights, with the key to significant damage to many vines. Exceptionally, all the wine regions of Burgundy are affected: from Chablis to Mâcon via the Côte de Nuits, the Côte Chalonnaise and of course unfortunately once again affected, the Côte de Beaune. Can of possible defense strategies: either sprinkle water as in Chablis for example, or use candles as in Côte de Nuits or Chablis also.
