This is a new achievement for the city of Dijon. One of its historic districts, a stone's throw from the city centre, has just been rehabilitated to accommodate the vast Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin. The complex dedicated to the "gastronomic meal of the French" as well as the "climates of the Burgundy vineyards", both registered with Unesco, opened its doors to the public on Friday, May 6, 2022.

The CIGV of Dijon will be structured around several poles. Four exhibitions, including a temporary one, will allow visitors to discover French gastronomy in its history as well as its current events.All thanks to particularly interactive scenographies. In the heart of the city, the "gastronomic village" will offer a selection of local products in its various shops. Another extraordinary place: the Ferrandi cooking school, which takes up residence in the city and offers cooking courses led by professionals.
45-minute tasting workshop
For wine lovers, it is especially the cellar of the city that must be surveyed. More than 3000 references will be available to visitors. Including a thousand from Burgundy. The principle is simple: buy a prepaid card, and use the "Enomatic", wine distributors. Ideal to taste and compare Chablis or Côte de Beaune without abusing or breaking the bank.
Another must-see for oenophiles: the Burgundy wine school, which installs an antenna at the entrance of the city. You will be able to follow workshops, that is to say short trainings (about 45 minutes) to the tasting of Burgundy wines, in an intimate and cozy atmosphere.

On the occasion of the inauguration in the presence of François Hollande, former President of the Republic, François Rebsamen, Mayor of Dijon and President of Dijon Métropole, said:
