Beaune one of the magnificent cities of Burgundy
Beaune is surrounded by its bastions and ancient walls, a city with a well-preserved medieval past and narrow cobbled streets, surrounded by vineyards of the Côte d'Or.
Beautiful pedestrian streets such as Carnot and Monge streets are filled with antique dealers, designers and very good wine merchants. Not to be missed!
How do I access it?

by the A6, A31 (to Dijon, then Lille or Nancy) and A38 (to Besançon, Basel) motorways. by the A6 motorway: take exit n°24.0 (Savigny-Lès-Beaune / Beaune-Saint-Nicolas) or exit n°24.1 (Beaune-Centre / Beaune-Hospices).

Who has never heard of theprestigious charity wine sale within the Hospices de Beaune. This takes place once a year, on the third Sunday in November.
Also called the Hôtel Dieu, this magnificent building is recognized by its sumptuous polychrome tile roofs and the polyptych of the Last Judgment by the Flemish master Rogier Van Der Weyden.

Further in the center of Beaune, do not miss to visit the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Beaune, it is one of the last great Romanesque churches of Burgundy mixing Gothic and Renaissance styles. Different routes are proposed to travel by bike:
for athletes, the 75-kilometre loop with 500 metres of altitude difference (Beaune – Saint Romain – La Rochepot – Nolay – Les Trois Croix – Meursault – Beaune).
for walkers, itineraries are proposed with false flats and undulations of the vineyard in a north-south axis.
Hiking trails are offered, such as the one between the first growths of Beaune, a loop of 6 kilometers lasting two hours, more information on Circuit n°12
