It is the "other" Burgundy sale, less famous than its sister Beaunoise, and all the more interesting. For their 60th edition, the auctions of the Hospices de Nuits broke many records, confirming the excellent momentum of the event in recent years.

A winegrower's hospital
Purchased online, by phone or on site, these different vintages will not be immediately accessible to buyers. As is the rule – both in Nuits and Beaune – the primeur wine must finish its ageing at a Burgundy merchant. These vintages of the 2020 vintage will therefore return to their owners only after bottling, i.e. within at least 1 year.

Founded in 1270, the hospices of Nuits are even older than those of Beaune. But they work in the same way: a winery that finances the local hospital. Resulting from various donations throughout history, the vines of the hospices of Nuits therefore finance the various health institutions of the municipality, the proceeds being recovered during these auctions.
